Kate Spade Saturday was a more youthful diffusion brand that aimed to capture the essence of Saturdays. While it only existed for three or four years, the magic we captured was undeniable. We were a team of about 40 (nearly all women) creating everything from product to marketing to experiences. The cross-pollination between all of us made the experience of building the brand feel deeply personal and incredibly fun!
One of the best aspects of this role was the unbridled fun we had with ideas. We allowed ourselves to tap into the same playfulness Kate Spade’s primary brand is known for, but with more of a cool-girl edge. The plug was eventually pulled on this venture but boy did we go out swinging. Enjoy more from the archives below.
